2020 started off on a very positive note, with quite a few trips lined up.
I went out on a weekend road trip to Akshi for a popti party in January 2020 with my friends at CLSA.
(Mahendra Patil, Chandrakant Pandey, Shyam Patil, Brijesh Mehta, Mayuresh Joshi, Aditya Wathore, Shrinivas Nayak, Vaibhav Moghe)
Went out on a old city food walk organised by India Heritage Walks in Pune with Jayesh Paranjape
Went out to Benaras over the Maha Shivaratri weekend with Chetan and Mohit
Went out to Mandu, Maheshwar and Indore over the Holi weekend with Dipaali
And I was so looking forward to a few more trips that were already planned - Lapland Adventures in April 2020, Shirdi trip in May 2020 and Lucknow trip for Eid in June 2020.
But just as we returned from the Holi weekend trip in March, we saw that the COVID 19 situation had worsened and soon after, the Indian government announced a national lock-down from 23rd March 2020.
Things changed overnight and there was stress in the air all over. Many organisations struggled to enable work from home solutions for their employees. Initially, we thought that this situation would end in a couple of weeks but today, we are still stuck with the pandemic that has assumed a much more critical situation in Mumbai, even 4 months down the line.
As days passed by, anxiety grew, stress levels increased and the positive vibes are replaced by uncertainty everywhere.
It looks like it will take a while to recover out of this situation. In short, 2020 seems to be wiped out entirely. Wish everyone a good health!
