Winter Trekking Expedition

I am all set for another refreshing and adventurous trek [albeit a short one] to the Himalayas this December [National Himalayan Winter Trekking Expedition]. Leave approvals in place, Mumbai - Delhi travel booked, other travel plans chalked out too.
Shilpa wanted to visit Goa in December, but it seems that I am addicted to altitudes, forests and snow rather than sea and beaches [Capricons - goats love altitudes], so I decided to go ahead with my wander lust.
I would be trekking with the Youth Hostels Association of India and am reporting to the Dalhousie base camp on the 23rd of December and will report back to office from the 2nd January. This is one of the most easiest treks in Himalayas which can be done in December [It is actually called a 5 star trek because it is more like a picnic]. No tents to be pitched, no food to be cooked. Only carry your rucksacks and wander around in the forests and snow. Enjoy the nature and reach the next camp. Luckily, this trek has log houses instead of tents to live in. This is very much cozy considering that the temperature drops to almost zero degrees at times.
